Chapter 3 - Discrete RV and Probability Distributions


There are two types of random variables that we will discuss in this class - discrete and continuous. This chapter focusses on discrete RV. Discrete RV is a RV whose possible values can be listed as a finite set or they can be represented by an infinite sequence (x1, x2,...).
