Decide Which
Math Placement Exam To Take

Students with college credit for College Algebra, or any higher level math course, are not required to take a placement exam.

Students can take one or more of the placement exams,
and the exams can be taken in any order.

Placement Into Math 1310
(College Algebra)

A grade of 65 on this exam will allow you to take Math 1310. Students can attempt this exam twice. Their highest score will determine their grade on the exam.

Placement Into Math 1313, 1314, 1330 and 2311
(Finite Math, Business Calculus, Pre-Calculus and Introductory Statistics)

Although most students will take this exam to gain access to Math 1313, 1314 or 1330, a grade of 65 on this exam will allow them to take Math 1310, 1313, 1314, 1330 or 2311. Students can take this exam twice. Their highest score will determine their grade on the exam.

Placement Into Math 1431
(Calculus I)

Although most students will take this exam to gain access to Math 1431, a grade of 65 on this exam will allow them to take Math 1310, 1313, 1314, 1330, 1431 or 2311. Students can take this exam twice. Their highest score will determine their grade on the exam.
