Math 1313 Streaming Lectures

 Instructions:

  1. To access a lecture outline:  Click on a section in the “Lecture Outlines” column. Print the outline before viewing the lecture so that you can take notes on it while you view the lecture. (Note:  There is one outline for each section, which contains all the examples listed below it.)

  1. To view a lecture:  Turn up the sound on your computer. Then go the appropriate section in the “Streaming” column and select BB (for broadband, i.e. high-speed internet access) or 56K (for dial-up internet access) to view the lecture.

Note:  In Chapter 2, the files are loaded as Flash files. Go to the "Streaming" column, select "Flash", and then maximize your viewing window so that you can see the entire screen. The control bar for the Flash video (stop, play, rewind, etc.) can be found by scrolling down to the bottom of the screen.

  2. Navigating between web pages:  Each file opens in the same window as this page. Once you view a file, click the "Back" button on your browser to go back to this page. If you prefer to open a file in a new window, right click its link and select "Open in New Window." The new window may pop up, or it might instead appear in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen.
